The idea of an auxiliary began shortly after the tragic events of September 11th and Fully Involved was officially formed in May 2002. With this new outlook, we wanted to support the firefighters, build close family ties, and give back to the community. One way was to support the Fire Explorers by starting a Scholarship Program. To date we have given over $3000 in scholarship money or educational supplies to the Explorer Post. Our money is raised in various ways like 50/50 drawings, recycling aluminum, donations, car wash, T-shirt sales, an annual spring fundraiser event, and cookbook sales- our newest item.

Fully Involved participates in different events also like Taste of Palm Harbor, Palm Harbor Holiday Parade, PHFR Night Santa ride, MDA summer camp, other MDA fund raisers, annual 9/11 Benefit Appreciation and the 50th Anniversary of Palm Harbor Fire Rescue. During the holidays, we also adopt a family and send care packages to the troops. We do many other things and are always trying to do more.

Fully Involved says THANKS
to Carrabba's

On November 3, 2009 Fully Involved organized a way to give back and say
thank to Carrabba's of Palm harbor for donating the 9/11 Memorial and Appreciation
meal for our firefighters.  Members and their families filled the restaurant
and expressed gratitude for the continued support from Carrabba's.

Fully Involved Making a Difference

On October 25, 2009 Fully Involved made a difference by providing lunch
at the Ronald McDonald House.  It was a great day to pay back and
assist those in difficult times because of caring for their sick children.
It made everyone of us realize how lucky we are to have our loved ones healthy.

September 11th Annual Memorial Dinner 2009

September 11, 2001 changed all our lives 8 years ago.  From these tragic events,
Fully Involved formed and wanted to make positive changes.  Each year we
keep trying to make a difference!  Each auxiliary member brings something
special to the group and together we do amazing things!  Our annual 9/11 Memorial
and Appreciation event is always close to our hearts.  We will never forget!
This year we are grateful to Carrabbas for donating dinner and dessert
for all three shifts.  Everything was delicious and perfect.
We also want to thank everyone that came on his or her own time as
the firefighters and auxiliary enjoy seeing you!
Time together is precious, as we don’t know what tomorrow may bring….

2009 Scholarship Recipient

Our 2009 Scholarship winner is North Pinellas Fire Explorer:  Maverick Shane Adams.
He is a 2009 Graduate of Gulf High in New Port Richey and
plans to attend St Petersburg College this fall.

A Special Thank You From
Fully Involved

Fully Involved presented Joe Alvarez of Boston Market with a fire helmet donated
by PHFR and airbrushed by FF Rick Weschler.  This was in appreciation
for all that he does for the auxiliary and Palm Harbor Fire Rescue.
We appreciate his continued support!  Over the years Joe and Boston Market
have donated the food for the annual 9/11 memorial dinner.

did a delicious luncheon and the facility was beautiful!  Special thanks to
Commissioner Julie Peluso who educated us on how to hold this fun event and
for her continued support.  We all had a lot of fun!  This fundraiser wouldn’t
have been possible without everyone’s support

Fully Involved Celebrates
Seven Years of Service!!

This month is PHFR Fully Involved’s 7th Anniversary!  The group has done so many things in the past 7 years.  We try to make a difference to this department & its members, the community, and each other.  Congratulation goes out to Dawn Maciuba for being “Ms. Fully Involved 2008”.  Dawn went above and beyond for Fully Involved this past year!  I am proud of each auxiliary member for all that they do to make a difference!  They not only put their time into this group, but also their hearts.

Auxiliary and PHFR Show
Appreciation to Boston Market

Fully Involved along with members of PHFR gathered at the Boston Market
in Palm Harbor to show their appreciation.  For the past several years, the
Palm Harbor Boston Market has donated the meal for the Annual September 11th
Memorial Dinner.  On October 14, 2008 the Auxiliary gathered for a family meal as a way
to "give back" for the generous support provided.

PHFR Auxiliary Holds Annual
September 11th Memorial Dinner

The PHFR Auxiliary, Fully Involved, held its annual September 11th Memorial and
Appreciation Event for the Firefighters was supported by many businesses assisting
from within our community.  We were able to remember this tragedy together and also
honor our firefighters.  We can’t thank our firefighters for all that they do and
their safety is important to us!

We appreciate Boston Market for catering dinner again for our firefighters.
