The idea of an auxiliary began shortly after the tragic events of September 11th and Fully Involved was officially formed in May 2002. With this new outlook, we wanted to support the firefighters, build close family ties, and give back to the community. One way was to support the Fire Explorers by starting a Scholarship Program. To date we have given over $3000 in scholarship money or educational supplies to the Explorer Post. Our money is raised in various ways like 50/50 drawings, recycling aluminum, donations, car wash, T-shirt sales, an annual spring fundraiser event, and cookbook sales- our newest item.

Fully Involved participates in different events also like Taste of Palm Harbor, Palm Harbor Holiday Parade, PHFR Night Santa ride, MDA summer camp, other MDA fund raisers, annual 9/11 Benefit Appreciation and the 50th Anniversary of Palm Harbor Fire Rescue. During the holidays, we also adopt a family and send care packages to the troops. We do many other things and are always trying to do more.

Great Day Washing Cars and Raising Money

Being a nonprofit group, we do different things to raise money to support our different causes.  We want to thank those that supported us at Bills Super Gas Station for our car wash last month!  It was overcast day that lead to rain, but we appreciate those that still came out! We even had our first bicycle ever!
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you!
See you at the next one, July 30, 2011!!!

Fully Involved Assists with Annual
MDA Golf Tournament

It is a great event and we appreciate the opportunity to help out each year!

Annual Easter Egg Hunt A Success!!!

Thank you to all that participated in our annual Easter Egg Hunt with the arrival of our new Easter Bunny and also those that donated to our new suit too!  We all enjoyed watching the kids have fun and see their smiling faces!  Over the years, it has been nice to see the little ones growing up and arrivals of new ones including grandchildren!

Fully Involved Remembers September 11th

Fully Involved once again honored Palm Harbor Firefighters on September 11, 2010
by preparing a "goodie bag" for each crew on all three shifts and made a personal
delivery of them.  Crews expressed gratitude for the gifts and the personal
commitment Fully Involved has toward "their" firefighters.

Family Bowling Day

Fully Involved's Family Bowling Day was on Sunday, July 18, 2010.
It was a day for auxiliary members and their families to relax and have fun!

Auxiliary Members Assist in
MDA Fundraiser and Fire Ops Event

Happy 8th Anniversary Fully Involved!  This all started from an idea from the
PHFR Island Party and formed after the tragic events of September 11, 2001.
This tragedy gave us the strength to form and do positive things.
A special thanks to Chief Angle for supporting Fully Involved from the very beginning.
This group has done so many wonderful things over the past 8 years to support our department, firefighters, community, each other and our second fire department family.
A big heartfelt “Thank You” to all auxiliary members past, present and future
for all that you do to make a difference!

Fully Involved enjoyed helping out with the Fire Ops class with the Clearwater Auxiliary.
It was our first opportunity to do this and hope to make it an annual event.

Fully Involved also participated with the registration for the MDA Golf tournament.
As always, it was a great event.  Thank you for including us!

If you get an opportunity this month, thank an auxiliary member for all they do!
We look forward to many more years!  Our next meeting is Tuesday, July 6th at
Station 65 at 7 pm.  Come make a difference with us and get “Fully Involved”!

It made everyone of us realize how lucky we are to have our loved ones healthy.

September 11th Annual Memorial Dinner 2009

September 11, 2001 changed all our lives 8 years ago.  From these tragic events,
Fully Involved formed and wanted to make positive changes.  Each year we
keep trying to make a difference!  Each auxiliary member brings something
special to the group and together we do amazing things!  Our annual 9/11 Memorial
and Appreciation event is always close to our hearts.  We will never forget!
This year we are grateful to Carrabbas for donating dinner and dessert
for all three shifts.  Everything was delicious and perfect.
We also want to thank everyone that came on his or her own time as
the firefighters and auxiliary enjoy seeing you!
Time together is precious, as we don’t know what tomorrow may bring….

PHFR Auxiliary Holds Annual
September 11th Memorial Dinner

The PHFR Auxiliary, Fully Involved, held its annual September 11th Memorial and
Appreciation Event for the Firefighters was supported by many businesses assisting
from within our community.  We were able to remember this tragedy together and also
honor our firefighters.  We can’t thank our firefighters for all that they do and
their safety is important to us!

We appreciate Boston Market for catering dinner again for our firefighters.
